Dance in the streets!

by BEAT360

A little more Mick Jagger for you guys. One has not truly lived until seeing this music video.

The song Dancing in the Streets, which was originally written by Mickey Stevenson and Marvin Gaye and performed by Martha and the Vandellas, was re-recorded by Bowie and Jagger in 1985 for the Live Aid charity movement.

The song was recorded with BEAT360′s Mark Saunders. This was Mark’s first engineering credit. The video was made at the end of that very same day. Just a few highlights are Mick’s whistling in the beginning or Bowie’s leg kicking up and down through the doorway.

What makes this song even more topical right now, is the fact that it was, apparently, the most played song in the streets during the British wedding celebration of Prince William and Princess Catherine. Who’d have known?

Enjoy!
